Deadline for Changing Your Party Affiliation:

If you are already registered to vote, you cannot change your party affiliation for this year's elections. Election law states that party affiliation changes are only effective for the following election year. Party affiliation changes filed before October 9, 2009 will become effective for the 2010 elections. Party changes filed after October 9, 2009 will not take effect until the 2011 election season.
