McMahon for Congress picks up key labor endorsements
NYHTC, August 8, 2008 - August 8, 2008 – Michael McMahon's congressional campaign picked up more labor support today, receiving the endorsement of the New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council and the New York State Council of UNITE HERE. The Hotel Trades Council represents 30,000 hospitality workers in the New York metro area. UNITE HERE is comprised of six local affiliates representing hotel, hospitality, gaming, food service, garment, textile and laundry workers. NYHTC, July 9, 2008 - NEW YORK – The New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council, AFL-CIO (HTC), a 30,000-member union, today announced its endorsement of Daniel Squadron for New York State Senate in the 25th District. The Metropolitan Area Joint Board, Local 23-25, a garmentworkers union affiliated with UNITE HERE!, an international union representing hotel, hospitality, garment, textile and laundry workers, also endorsed Squadron.
