After a remarkable and distinguished labor career, Michael Simo has retired as President of Local 6. "Michael will be impossibly difficult to replace," said Local 6 Business Manager Peter Ward. "But the General Officers of our union have found the right person for the job, Jim Donovan."

In a major victory for his campaign, Attorney General candidate Eric Schneiderman has won the coveted endorsement of the New York Times. The union endorsed Schneiderman for New York State Attorney General at a City Hall press conference on July 20.
