Union helps Mayor Bloomberg achieve reelection
Hotel Voice, November 9, 2009 - In an election this week that many "experts" said would be a runaway, our union made the difference in a closer than expected vote that sent Mayor Bloomberg back to City Hall for another four years. John Liu, Bill de Blasio win primaries
Hotel Voice, October 5, 2009 - John Liu and Bill de Blasio both emerged victorious from their September 29 run off elections. Liu, who is running for New York City Comptroller, received 56% of the vote on September 29, while de Blasio won almost two-thirds of the votes cast in his run off race. [more...]

NY Times, September 30, 2009 - City Councilmen Bill de Blasio and John Liu, both endorsed by the NY Hotel Trades Council, won their New York Democratic primary runoff elections for city-wide office September 29. de Blasio swept opponent Mark Green, earning 63 percent of the votes and the Democratic nomination for New York City public advocate.
