Union wins back pay at Westin Times Square

The members in this photo are among a total number of 39 Westin Times Square room attendants who are a little bit wealthier this week. The union obtained $43,000 in back pay for these members for a number of contract violations, including management offering overtime during a layoff and scheduling room attendants out of seniority. The violations occurred earlier this year and the members applauded the union for the swift resolution of the matter.

Union endorses Eric Schneiderman for New York State Attorney General

Filling the shoes of Andrew Cuomo as New York State's top law enforcement officer will not be an easy job, but the Union firmly believes that State Senator Eric Schneiderman is up to the task. The Union endorsed Schneiderman for New York State Attorney General at a City Hall press conference on July 20.
